Unlike the low-disk space notification built into some of the Windows operating systems, Space Patrol provides a low-disk space monitoring and notification facility that you can control precisely.

Space Patrol lets you alter the threshold levels, and easily enable or disable the notification on any of your disk drives. Once you've registered your saved settings are automatically monitored whenever you log onto your computer.

Features

  • Displays all relevant disk drive information.
  • Simple operation.
  • Allows you to disable your Operating System's low-space notification facility.
  • Works for all users on your computer (NT/2000/XP/Vista).

Until you've registered Space Patrol your saved settings are not automatically applied when you log on - but you can easily reapply them in order to evaluate the product.

Readme details

Windows 98 provides an integrated Low Disk Space warning facility. However, there is no inbuilt control over the threshold level. For modern large disks this can result in the warning occurring when you have many MB of free space left on your disk.

Space Control lets you alter the threshold levels, and easily enable or disable the notification on any of your disk drives. Once you've registered you can save the settings and automatically restore them when your computer restarts.

Features

  • Displays all relevant disk drive information.
  • Simple operation.
  • Integrates with the Windows 98 Task Scheduler to automatically reapply your settings.

Until you've registered Space Control you can't save or restore the settings, but you can establish if it works for you, and if it would be useful in ensuring that the low disk space warning only occurs when you want it to.
